Unlike the usual iPad cases, the Omnifer iPad case has three panels, allowing you to switch easily between the Braille mode and the protective mode for which a cover is usually used. The Braille layer of the case takes up only half of the screen. The intelligent concept that converts this technology into a braille reader is the use of a chemical inside the cover. One of the panels of the Omnifer contains gas pockets, filled with a chemical, which expands when illuminated. Upon expanding the braille dots get raised facilitating the users to consume the digital content displayed on the iPad screen. When the iPad is not in use, the braille dots don’t get illuminated and thus they stay in their normal position. Along with the iPad case being technically brilliant, it is also very thin and light making it highly portable and comfortable. And when not in use, it can also act as a protective layer for the iPad.

With this invention it seems that on the future the blind people can also use the gadget like iPad, and there will be a new Apps for the blind. The possibility of this innovative technology is quite large. This could lead the app developers to add accessibility features in their apps or program apps specially for the visually challenged. However, it’s still a concept design but if commercialized this could bring about a change in the way visually challenged enjoy technologies. It would also help iPad to penetrate the untapped market.

LG finally released their new mouse technology, this LG LSM-100 was a multifunctional devices which can works as a mouse and a scanner. it's such an amazing invention by LG. not you can scan your documents using your mouse. it's really easy and efficient. It seems all the mouse on the future will come with this cool scanner function.

LG LSM -100 is the first mouse that can scan without having to add any tools because at the bottom is equipped with a scanner (scanner ). So how about the features about this cool scanner mouse?



Unlike the usual scanners, to use it we must press the Scan Smart button on the side then we can scan all the areas which we will scan and software that there is going to tidy up the scan results. Existing scan results can be converted into various formats such PNG, JPEG, TIFF, BMP, PDF, XLS and DOC. Two recent ( & XLS DOC ) can be done because the scanner is also equipped with OCR ( Optical Character Recognition ).

LG LSM -100 can scan up to A3 paper size which is quite good considering the small size of this ( usually A4 ).

Unfortunately there is no explanation of how the resolution can be generated given the resolution of existing scanners will be a determinant of how well the quality of the images or text that was scanned.

In the future we can use our hand as the multitouch controller for our PC, car music system and many gadgets. this cool amazing technology was designed by Japanese researcher Kei nakatsuma, Mr. Nakatsuma has demonstrated the technology of converting the back of one’s hand to a full-fledged multi-touch computer controller at the 2011 SIGGRAPH interactive technology conference in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

It a great fun to see that a body part of humans can be transformed to a superior computer input system. The major advantage of the technology will be that you can go anywhere with a universal computer input system on your body. You can control computers, smartphones, tablets, video gaming consoles, and entertainment systems using your hand as a multi-touch input platform. It will perform exactly like a mouse or a multi-touch trackpad that we are familiar with the computers right now.



Nakatsuma, a professor of Information Physics and Computing at the University of Tokyo has developed the technology using an infrared sensor. A device in form of a wristwatch-like band, which houses the infrared sensor and other components, is required to be tied up with the user’s hand for the new computer input experience.

The key advantage of the technology is that unlike a mouse or trackpad, the skin will provide a feedback in multi-touch computing. Of course, it will make the process far smoother than on a physical input device. Certainly, different from both the gesture technology and multi-touch screens, you can control the computers with the blessed sensual experience.

According to its designer, the technology will seamlessly help users control computers, laptops, smartphones, and many other devices. Making a presentation and operating a phone while you are engaged with another task, the new computer input technology will be a great help as Nakatsuma said. In other words, the technology will introduce a kind of ubiquitous computing as you can stay with the feature anytime.

Nakatsuma demoed the technology for SIGGRAPH attendees transforming the back of his hand to a mouse-like platform. He operated all functions of a mouse on his computer with his hand. However, he said the technology is not enough capable to do several more multi-touch tasks such as pinching and rotating.

Nakatsuma revealed that the prototype of the technology has a lot of other deficiencies. The one another big downfall is that it will not work well in sunlight. It is because infrared signals in sunlight confuse the sensor used in the device. The designer is working hard to develop the technology with more multi-touch features and capacities.

Well we hope that in the future this technology could became a reality.

The smartphone also lets you project or display the translation, coming in handy during business meetings. A flexible wacom tablet allows users to draw on the screen with a pen as if it were a sheet of paper.

The prototype cost $7,000 for Queen's to make, but within a few years the school should have that number way down. The key to the future prosperity of this invention is that the price needs to come down low enough so that consumers and businesses will conceivably own multiple e-paper sheets of many sizes. They could utilize them to cover desks, office walls, and board room tables. To be sure, the possibilities in the institutional and corporate environments for this type of technology are immense.

Keith Medley who was known as a guitar builder from Tennessee has made a cool amazing invention. that was a 27 string guitar. he made this cool amazing guitar just for himself. well i wonder how to play a 27 string guitar? The builder of that guitar keith medley admits that he needs several years to learn to play his 27 String Guitar.



Keith explains on his site. “The hard part has been learning to play it. Through two years of bittersweet struggle between myself and these 27 strings, I determined it would not defeat me but would play the music I heard in my heart.” If many world guitarist think that 12 string or even 6 string guitar is enough, Keith says the music he hears in his head is more than can be played on six strings, so after many sketches and nights of contemplation, he came up with this unique 27-string instrument. He claims it’s like playing three instruments at the same time.

Well actually this 27 String guitar by Keith Medley was not the guitar with the most string in the world today, lately pat metheney played 42 string pikasso guitar which is made and designed by Linda Manzer. Here's another cool amazing invention in science, a scientist from Rice University in Houston Texas made the World's smallest nanowire battery ever. The researcher announced they figured out how to squish all three parts of a lithium storage device onto one nanowire with all key parts: anode, cathode, and electrolyte. Keep in mind, the battery is so small, you can barely see it with your eyes when you look at it from a certain angle because its diameter is that of a human hair. But the device has thousands of nanowires that work together as a battery and could one day power nanoscale electronics, according to researchers. The little battery, developed at Rice University, is actually a cross between a battery and a supercapacitor. Supercapacitors can deliver more power at once than batteries--a bigger jolt. The diminutive battery is made by the thousands in dense arrays. Each battery is a nanowire, with one half of the wire working as a negative electrode and the other half as a positive electrode.



The researchers showed that the battery has good charge and discharge abilities, all things that would make it perform well as a battery. The main components include a nickel-tin anode, polyethylene oxide (PEO) electrolyte and polyaniline cathode. Also, the scientists showed that lithium ions could move through the battery and store the ions. Anjayan explained that by putting the cathode inside the nanowire, the device was designed not only to store energy but could also act as an insulator.

The team had been working towards building the single-nanowire device for a while. Last fall, they created three-dimensional nanobatteries. For now, the researchers are working on improving the battery’s efficiency and will worry about the real applications in the future. The main focus now is to improve the performance of the battery by fiddling with the types of materials in the system.
