This Device could turn your iPhone into a Night vision scope. Wait we're not gonna talk about a special night vision apps for your iPhone but it's a USNV Night Vision iPhone Adapter.

This cool Night vision Adapter will bridge your iPhone with the actual Night vision scope to leverate your iPhone features such as the Video recording, Geo tagging and messaging. The NViA slides onto the iPhone and connects with a variety of night vision and thermal imaging devices with a threaded mount. Once installed, the iPhone gives you a larger night vision display and allows you to record video and photos, zoom and adjust optic settings, geo-tag your footage, and send images to others. It seems that the potential users of this NviA is sportsmen, surveillance professionals and broadcasters.

Like anything night vision, the iPhone Adapter isn't exactly cheap. It costs $269, and that's before you factor in the cost of the night vision scope or iPhone itself. It's currently offered free with the purchase of specific night vision goggles and scopes, but both of those cost more than $3,500. That might not be bad if you rely on night vision for your profession, but it's a little prohibitive for the hobbyist that just thinks it'd be cool to watch night vision on his iPhone.

How about the compatibility? According to the sources from Night Vision Experts The NViA is compatible with iPhone 4 and 4s models

Wind Powered Car by Tang Zhengping

Wind Powered Car by Tang Zhengping

This Chinese guy has made a cool wind powered car which can reach speeds of nearly 90mph. this car measures 3m Long, stands just 1m tall and took just 3 months to design and build. wow it's pretty fast. The inventor also said that his Wind Powered Car batteries could last longer than any other electric car. Wow It's really amazing!!.

This Cool Wind Powered Car was build by Chinese farmer Tang Zhengping out of his love for electronic gadgets. Mr Zhengping Creates this efficient but quirky blue vehicle on his house.

The car is powered by a combination of batteries and electric generators, supplying power to the wheels via an electric motor. The large spinning fan at the front rotates when the car is in motion - due to air hitting the blades - providing energy to charge the batteries or support electricity generation. In addition to the front fan, the car also uses 'solar energy wings' to store up power.

The car's twin generators and batteries charge in turn, while the other is powering the vehicle. According to Zhengping, the car's maximum speed is 140kph - that's 87mph.

How far the wind-powered vehicle would actually travel at those speeds without needing a recharge - and how long it would take to get there - is open to debate, however. Zhengping reckons his electric creation 'lasts longer than a normal electric car, which usually doesn't have generators.'

With the car's fan and wings providing extra electricity when in motion, the vehicle's batteries only need charging every two to three days, according to the Chinese farmer.

There's no 'official' measured range yet, but even driving moderate distances, a recharge only every two to three days is pretty impressive. Its range might be better than a Nissan LEAF then (don't take our word for it though), but it certainly isn't as practical as the Japanese EV.

The wind-powered car is only a single seater, and with no roof and a decidedly home-built feel, we're not sure Mr Zhengping's creation would be the safest of vehicles on the chaotic roads of Beijing.

With potential for high-voltage electricity to be coursing through the chassis if Zhengping hasn't got his wiring right, we think we'd probably stick to more conventional electric, range-extending and hybrid vehicles.

Zipper Inventor Gideon Sundback on Google Logo

Zipper Inventor Gideon Sundback on Google Logo

Have you noticed there's something special on Google logo today? There's giant zipper running down the center of the search engine's homepage, Google made an awesome zipper doodle to celebrate Gideon Sundback birthday. Gideon Sundback was well known as the inventor of Zipper, He's a Swedish-American electrical engineer most commonly associated with the development of the fastening device that revolutionized the clothing industry.

His innovation was to place a dimple on the underside of each tooth and a nib on the top that would sit securely within the dimple of the tooth above it.

As a result, the join between two rows of teeth was then strong because no single tooth has enough room to move up or down and come apart. He also created the manufacturing machine for the new zipper.

Well the word's Zipper isn't originally coined by him. It came from B.F. Goodrich who decided to use it in their new boots.

Three Spirits Floating Hotel Concept

Three Spirits Floating Hotel Concept

This cool floating hotel form ship could be an upcoming trends for the future architecture, we have seen a futuristic flying house and an amazing yacht island before and now there's another cool floating hotel concept called Three Spirits,

The Three Spirits floating hotel concept originated on the basis of innumerable personal drawings and painting studies, along with the inspiration for the direction of form, color and special arrangement that came from the architect’s personal diving experiences. Hand drawing and personal reflections became the driving force for the design, as it connects the design with the underwater world which the hotel guests explore

The project has also been consulted with the naval architects, and they said it’ll work. As per the project, each of the three ships functions as an independent unit. Ships are built on diesel electric system which made it possible locating 4 azimuthal propellers’s fueled from the underwater part of the legs. Further, each ship has been designed for 30-days of self sufficiency, and is intended to swim in island area.

The ships making up a complex like structure, to a certain level, differ as for the applied program, and if the suitable localization is chosen, they may form an island ‘Lang’. Guests can have the privilege to enjoy the supplementary attractions. On the first ship, guests have a ballroom at their disposal, a casino on the second and on the third, there’s a hall of multi-functional purposes where live theatrical performances and film screenings are possible. And, when the three ships will meet, they generate a common water area for guests to swim safely. Further, the diving capsule will be a main attraction for a particular ship, where the guests can practice scuba diving and can also dive safely to see wrecks or coral reefs. In addition, guests also get set of boats, which allow them to choose an appropriate place for recreation.

Each ship will have a dissimilar interior style, which is a personification of one of the idols of Oceania, and it also has the possibility of simulation of own voice and thoughts, along with the knowledge of underwater land which it will convey. To ask questions, guests can also communicate with their guide throughout a knowledge hall, ‘the heart’ of the ship. Cool Bulletproof iPhone Case

Cool Bulletproof iPhone Case

This iPhone case is not an ordinary case to protect your iPhone from Scratch dust or even fall from the desk but it also can withstand against the 50 Caliber Bullet!!. Yes you hear it right. This iPhone Case from Marudai Corp Japan might be the World's First Bulletproof iPhone 4 Case. the company claims it can stop a direct hit from a .50 caliber bullet, while keeping your smartphone intact. Wow it's really a tough iPhone case.

How could an Iphone case has a bulletproof Features? What kind of material used for the case? From the Information it was said that The armored case features an inch of solid steel embedded in the back, which is what gives the phone cover its bulletproof ability. To attach the case, the phone has to literally be bolted in using an Allen wrench.

Marudai Corp also claim that a bullet hitting one of the bolts will still leave your iPhone undamaged!!!. But while the back of the case is solidly protected, the front screen is still completely uncovered so the phone's touchscreen can still be used.

Even this Case offers a cool protection to your iPhone but there's one disadvantages For one, the case raises the weight of the iPhone 4 from half a pound to about 4.5 pounds (2.1 kg) and the thickness from half an inch to about 1.5 inches (39.6 mm) Another disadvantage is the thick armor plating requires a separate lens for the camera, which restricts its viewpoint to a smaller circle and makes all your pictures look like they were shot through a peephole.

This Tough Bulletproof iPhone Case from Marudai Corp was sold for 52,500 yen (US$650), although that does include free shipping, a spare lens, and a commemorative dummy bullet.

And the final question is Did we need a bulletproof Case to protect an iPhone? Considering that's almost twice as much as the cost of a brand new iPhone 4 though, it might be easier to just get a good warranty and back up your data regularly.

Facebook Buys Instagram for $1 Billion What is the Main Reason

Facebook Buys Instagram for $1 Billion What is the Main Reason

Facebook Buys Instagram for $1 Billion dollars. today this news about Facebook who buy instagram the world's biggest mobile-only photo-sharing app for a huge amount of money became one of the hottest news all over the internet. Why Facebook buys instagram? earlier on this week instagram has just Available for Android and today Instagram was acquire by Facebook. What does Facebook gain from buying Instagram?

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the acquisition in a post on his Facebook Timeline Monday. The sale is expected to close later this quarter, and will bring the nine-person staff of Instagram to the social network.

“For years, we’ve focused on building the best experience for sharing photos with your friends and family,” Zuckerberg said in the post. “Now, we’ll be able to work even more closely with the Instagram team to also offer the best experiences for sharing beautiful mobile photos with people based on your interests.”

“We will try to learn from Instagram’s experience to build similar features into our other products,” Zuckerberg said. “At the same time, we will try to help Instagram continue to grow by using Facebook’s strong engineering team and infrastructure.”

Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom echoed Zuckerberg’s statements on the Instagram company blog adding “We’re psyched to be joining Facebook and are excited to build a better Instagram for everyone.”

Some possible reason about Why Facebook Buys Instagram

1. Instagram User

Facebook thinks that Instagram has a great potential with their 30 million user.

2. Mobile Engagement

Maybe this is the most possible reason why facebook buys instagram, on my opinion even facebook got a huge mobile user basis but they didn't has a feature that made user easily upload photos or mobile uploading.

In Instagram, people can very easily do the mobile uploading, just six steps, to upload a photo along with a filter. Compare with on Facebook who need 10 steps to upload your photo, without any additional steps in the filter and photo editing

3. Data

Instagram already has 30 million users who have uploaded more than 100 million images that also contains a geotagging and personal data.

This is also likely targeted by Facebook. Facebook is requiring such data for various purposes, one of them for the benefit of advertisers.

4. Competing with Twitter and Google

Twitter is Facebook strongest competitor in social networking business. Although only rely on the text, Twitter has a very strong user base.

As for Google, though not with Google + fanged, Facebook is still seen as a major competitor for other great products, such as a search engine, Gmail, YouTube, and others. Google has unlimited funds interested in buying so-called Instagram. This is what makes facebook in a hurry to take over Instagram.

Further reason about why facebook buys instagram on cNet or Mashable.

Scaffold Device Concept By Sarah Haigh Turns Toilet Waste into Drinkable Water

Scaffold Device Concept By Sarah Haigh Turns Toilet Waste into Drinkable Water

In the future there will be a cool machine that could turns a toilet waste into a drinkable water. This cool concept called Scaffold Device was funded US$ 100.000 by Bill Gates and Melinda Gates Foundation to develop a technology that could change the water from the toilet into the drinkable water.

Manchester University’s Sarah Haigh is an expert in nanotechnology - the science of manipulating atoms in matter - and says, it could make waste water from toilets safe to drink. With the help of nanomaterials and bacteria, Sarah believes that this technology simply can not decipher the dirty water into the water ready for drinking but also can be made of human waste is converted into drinking water. : D

Sarah believes that a scaffold device holding a mixture of bacteria and tiny metal nano-particles will react with the water to extract useful hydrogen, with the remainder filtered again to produce clean water.

Their idea for an inexpensive fuel-producing, water-cleaning device for the developing world, beat more than 2,000 other proposals.

And the group stand to receive a further $1m from the Gates next year if they can demonstrate the chemical reactions they propose can actually work

As we said, it is kind of disgusting but if there is no choice as happens in some countries it is difficult to get clean water when this technology can be successful, you can imagine how many millions of lives can be saved.

This technology is also not necessarily be able to make the water dirty mineral water quality but guaranteed that the water is safe and ready to be used as drinking water.

Play Games with Your Tongue

Play Games with Your Tongue

This Cool Kinect Technology let you play a shooting game with your tongue. How does it work? The Japanese researchers have also developed a shooting game, which will work on the tongue movements of the users. What makes the technology far exciting is its hygienic detection method, say the researchers. The user is not expected to attach any devices to his/her tongue to capture the movements. Kinect will do the task quite simply and superbly.

We know that Kinect motion sensor-based technologies have boundless potentials. An exciting new application of Kinect from the researchers of the University of Electro Communications has a great function of training the tongue. Well, the technology is an interface to detect the tongue movements with a Kinect sensor. People with oral motor function disorders can spend some time in front of the system to train their tongues well.

The detection process results with a series of actions. For the first time, Kinect detects the entire face and eyes of the user. Detection of eyes leads the Kinect to identify the nose, which has a minimum movement value. Based on the position of the nose tip, Kinect can easily determine the mouth and tongue, the researchers explain.

It will be quite amazing to see a person moving his/her tongue to play a game. It becomes more worthy if the user is unable to speak or sallow well with a mouth motor function disorder. To play the game developed by the researchers, the user has to turn his/her tongue right and left. To make a shoot, the user has to stick out his tongue briskly. Well, it will offer enough exercise for the tongue and mouth of the user. Check out the video below to see how the technology works,

You can even hook up three of these and use a single controller to fly your own fleet of Angry Birds. The remote control has a range of 10 to 15 m and up to three these of the helicopters can be flown at the same time thanks to a three channel selector on the remote. The controller uses six AA batteries and the helicopter has an integrated rechargeable battery. The battery needs 40 min to charge fully and allows for flight time of 8 to 10 min.

The controller is easy to use and you can get the chopper for $49.95. The little helicopter measures 20 X 20 X12.5 cm and the best part about it is the angry bird faced-body. The chopper is apparently sturdy enough to take bit of a hit and should survive a few crashes since it's made of impact resistant plastic.

While on PC Magazine this Android version Instagram has drive so many controversion such as It Can't share pictures over email or text. Little variation among filters. Buggy and fragmented experiences, depending on Android device.

Instagram for Android's strength relies on its robust photo community, rather than photo editing utility. It's a simple, fun way to discover and instantly share photos with friends and strangers, but in terms of editing it's even less useful than the stock Android camera. Stilll, after playing with Instagram for a while, I could start to feel the pull of addiction. It's just so quick and easy to create and share a folksy snapshot of my life. Eadward J. Muybridge Google Doodle

Eadward J. Muybridge Google Doodle

Today there's a different things on Google homepage, yes Google made another cool playable doodle to celebrate eadward J muybridge 182nd birthday. You can press the yellow start button in the middle of google logo and see how it works. who is eadward muybridge? As far as i know he's well known as the first inventor of the moving picture, Eadward J. Muybridge is Responsible for the zoopraxiscope in 1879, Muybridge used the stop-motion projection display to prove that all four of a horses’ hoofs leave the ground while they’re running.

According to Wikipedia, Eadward J. Muybridge was an English photographer of Dutch ancestry who spent much of his life in the United States. He is known for his pioneering work on animal locomotion which used multiple cameras to capture motion, and his zoopraxiscope, a device for projecting motion pictures that pre-dated the flexible perforated film strip.

Muybridge’s invention became the inspiration for Thomas Edison (who holds the patent for the motion picture camera), Philip Glass (who wrote an opera in 1982 based on Muybridge’s murder trial), the music video for the song “Lemon” by U2 (“A man makes a picture – a moving picture/Through light projected he can see himself up close“), and the slow motion bullet special effect in the movie The Matrix.

Muybridge wasn’t only interested in how horses moved; the scientist also looked at other animals, including the more lumbering bison. His motion display technology was also used for entertainment, such as stop-motion footage of dancing, with a series of lectures at the Chicago 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition recorded as the first commercial movie theater.

Pantech Vega Racer 2 World's First Ceramic Phone

Pantech Vega Racer 2 World's First Ceramic Phone

This is Vega Racer 2 the world's first ceramic phone by Pantech. wow can you imagine a cellphone made out of ceramic? This phone is expected to hit South Korea either at the end of this month, or in early May 2012, and it has some pretty interesting specs.

Pantech Vega Racer 2 Specification

First of all, there’s that ceramic body, which Pantech claims is the first ever in the smartphone world. Then there’s also a 4.8-inch 720p HD touchscreen, and a dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960 processor (which is a Krait 28nm part, and will probably clocked at 1.5 GHz).

The original Vega sold in more than 1 million units in Korea so far, and Pantech hopes that the sequel will double that number, especially since it comes with the all-important LTE support.

Pantech officials seem hopeful that glass ceramic coatings should be a lot more durable than plastics. We’ll have to see for ourselves, though. And unfortunately it probably won’t be the Pantech Vega Racer 2 which will convince us of this, since it’s almost certainly not going to make it out of South Korea.

Still, since Pantech has provided smartphones for US carriers every now and then, perhaps a future ceramic design will make it Stateside at some point in the future. If not, competitors surely will do something about this, especially if ceramic coating becomes the new ‘HD screen’ or ‘multi-core processor’ in terms of spec craze.
